Born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, raised in Chicago, Illinois, and based in New York City.

Abri Berg (she/her/hers) is an NYC-based director, designer, and arts administrator from Chicago, Illinois. She is a senior pursuing her BFA in Drama at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She received her artistic training at Playwrights Horizons Theater School and the Production and Design studio.

Abri currently works at 321 Theatrical Management as a General Management Assistant: a role that allows her to work on long-running productions such as Wicked, new musicals in development, and on the company management team at Kimberly Akimbo. She previously served as the Company Management Production Assistant on Gutenberg! The Musical! Her experience working on both the creative and business sides of industry has prepared her to step into any challenge ahead with empathy and an understanding of the larger picture.

During her time at NYU, she was the Artistic Director of NYU’s premier student-led theatre organization Tisch New Theatre: an opportunity that provided her a hands-on experience managing a nonprofit theater company. From curating a season of cutting-edge works to orchestrating three casting processes, she infused her passion for increased accessibility and on and off-stage diversity into every aspect of her work.

Outside of theater, she enjoys spending time with her parents and two dogs, Bob and Biggie. She also maintains a yoga practice and loves fashion, skiing, biking, visiting art exhibitions, and walking outdoors.
